Maio - May

O mês de Maio para mim é o mais "feminino" de todos.
Para além de celebrarmos o dia da Mãe e talvez também por isso, o associamos às flores.
A foto do meu calendário é perfeita para retratar Maio: verdes, rosas e lilases.
Na imagem também duas bolsinhas da coleção que estou a fazer e o lindo tecido que comprei na Dotquilts.

For me May is the most "feminine" month of all.
It is the month we celebrate Mother's day and perhaps also why is associate with flowers.
The picture in my calendar is perfect to portray May: green, pink and lilac.
In the picture also two purses of a collection I'm doing and the beautiful fabric I bought at Dotquilts.

No passado dia 6 de Outubro fiz 35 anos. Sim já!
Fizemos uma caminhada/passeio na Serra da Estrela. (as fotos ficam para outro post)
Quero mostrar-vos os presentes que ofereci a mim mesma. Pois, porque raramente compro algo só para mim.
O Livro Tilda´se Summer Ideas porque adorei a jardineiras na capa e que espero tentar fazer um dia.
E um cachecol tipo xaile que comecei com uma lã que comprei há mais de dois anos!
São presentes muitos simples mas são mesmo estes os que eu mais gosto.

Last 6th October I did 35 years old. Yes already!
We did a walk / ride in Serra da Estrela. (the photos are for another post)
I want to show you the gifts I offered myself. Well, I rarely buy something for myself.
The Tilda'se Summer Ideas book because I loved the dungarees on the cover and I hope to try make one day.
A scarf loke a shawl that started with a wool I bought for over two years!
My gifts are very simple but  these are the ones that I like best.

Desta vez, foi um porta moedas criado por mim no ano passado que saiu na Inside Crochet de Fevereiro.

Apesar de ter sido a terceira vez que vejo um trabalho meu publicado é sempre motivo de alegria e satisfação.

Também vos trago fotos de uma comprinhas que fiz para novos projetos.

As lãs são da Rosários4 e mal posso esperar para trabalhar com elas.

Os tecidos comprei-os no comércio tradicional como é costume.

Apesar de ser um pouco difícil encontrar variedade...

Shoping Day

A semana passada aproveitei as promoções da loja DotQuilts e comprei algumas coisas que estavam na minha lista de compras há meses.
Hoje recebi em casa a encomenda, fios em algodão que queria experimentar, uma caixa de alfinetes que me faziam tanta falta e uma agulha nova e mais confortável.
E ainda recebi duas amostras de outro algodão, muito obrigada Luísa!

Last week I bought in DotQuilts shop some things that were on my shopping list for months.
Yesterday I received the order at home, new cotton yarns that I wanted to try, a box of pins that I realy need and a new and comfortable needle.
And I received two samples of other cotton, thank you Luísa!

Apenas para partilhar alguns momentos desta semana que passou.
Tenho estado e aprender novas técnicas em tricô, alguns tecidos e lãs novos e novas experiências culinárias, como este bolo de banana com pepitas de chocolate!
Que já tinha ouvido falar muito, mas que nunca tinha sequer provado. A receita encontrei aqui. Eu acrescentei as pepitas de chocolate como vi em outras receitas de bolo de banana como este aqui na Quitandoca. O bolo é muito saboroso e deixou um cheirinho maravilhoso pela casa!

Just to share with you some moments of the past week.
I have been learning new knitting tecniques , some new fabrics and yarns and some new cook experiences like this banana cake with chocolate chips!
I had heard much about this cake, but I had never even tasted. The recipe I found  here that you can easily translate on google. I added the chocolate chips as seen in other recipes banana cake like this here in Quitandoca.The cake is very tasty and left a perfume throughout the house!

Novidades! - News!

olá!
Hoje passo por cá para vos mostrar o que tenho feito.
Finalmente consegui fazer as minhas próprias etiquetas em tecido!
Fiquei contente com o resultado final. Utilizei este método aqui.
Quanto ao tricô, tenho iniciado o colete Keene Toddler Vest que encontrei no Raverly e que é grátis. Estáa ser um desafio fazer este colete porque tem algumas técnicas que não conhecia.
Quanto ao segundo trabalho, em cinza, rosa e branco chama-se Sourpatch e também está disponível gratuitamente no Raverly.
E quanto ao tecidos, comprei para os novos porta moedas e outras novidades! Não são giros?

Come here today to show you what I have done.
Finally managed to make my own fabric labels!
I'm happy with the outcome. I used this tutorial here.
And about knitting I started this Keene Toddler Vest . It´s a free pattern that I found on Raverly. It´s been a challenge for me because this pattern have tecniques that I never used before.
The second knitting work it´s Sourpatch that is too on Raverly for free.And about the fabrics I bougth them for new coin purses and some news! Aren´t they beautiful?

Olá!
Eu estou de volta ao tricô.
Como podem ver pelas fotos, com o lindo algodão que comprei na Bolas de Tons.
Mais uma loja interessante também disponível online.
Para mim é óptimo porque onde vivo não há assim tanta oferta.
Ainda tive a sorte de me oferecerem os botões em madeira, que são tão bonitos e que agradeço novamente.

As you can see from the photos with the beautiful cotton balls I bought at Bolas de Tons.
Another interesting shop that is also available online.
For me it's great because where I live there's so much supply.
I was lucky because they offered me these buttons in wood, which are so beautiful and I thank you again.

Casaco Shalom - Shalom Cardigan II

Depois de 4 dias de descanso estou de volta aos trabalhos manuais.

O casaco já tinha terminado há algumas semanas mas resultou num tamanho S e ficou pequeno para mim...

por isso ofereci-o à minha sobrinha S.

Talvez um dia mais tarde volte a fazer um para mim, noutra cor e tamanho.

Agora é tempo para novos projectos, por isso já comprei alguns materias novos.

After four days of rest I'm back to handmade works.
The casdigan had already finished a few weeks ago but resulted in a  S size and small for me ...so I offered it to my niece S.
Maybe one day I make one for me, different color and size.
Now it's time for new projects, so I already bought some new material.

St Lary - Pyrénées - France

Estou de volta a casa depois de uma semana de férias na vila de St. Lary nos Pirinéus - França.
A maior parte do tempo foi passado a fazer esqui mas houve tempo para tudo.
Passear, conhecer a vila e um pouco dos Pirinéus.
Adorei tudo! A paisagem, de neve, campos cultivados e pequenas aldeias; as pessoas que são simpáticas e muito gentis; o ambiente, tão acolhedor; as casas tão bonitas e tão diferentes das nossas aqui em Portugal; o artesanato, em especial o que é feito em madeira e também as loiças tradicionais que têm as cores vermelho, bege e castanho!
E claro aproveitei também para comprar umas prendinhas para mim :o)

I'm back home after a week's vacation in the village of St Lary in the Pyrenees - France
Most of the time was spent skiing but there was time for everything.
Walk, and know the village and a little of the Pyrenees.
I loved everything! The scenery, snow fields and small villages; the people are very kind and friendly; the environment so friendly; the houses so beautiful and so different from ours here in Portugal; the craft, especially what is done in wood and also the traditional dishes that are red, beige and brown!
And of course I used also buy some gifts to me :o)
I'll be back with more photos.

Presentes - Gifts

Olá!!
Espero que tenham tido um excelente Natal!
O meu foi muito bom, passado com a família e cheio de coisas boas.
Agora que já passou e todos os presentes já estão entregues posso mostrar alguns que fiz para oferecer aos meus sobrinhos.
Os cachecóis infelizmente esqueci-me de tirar foto depois de pronto, mas com tanta correria ... já era de esperar, não é?
Mas ficam as fotos do início porque eu adorei as lãs!! São as novas da Rosários4 (Tec Print) e é uma lã muito macia e cheia de cor.

I hope you had a great Christmas!
Mine was pretty good, spent with the family and full of good things.
Now that is gone and all the gifts are already delivered some that I can show you what I give to my nephews.
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures after the scarves be ready, but in such a hurry ...expected, is it not?
But there are pictures from the beginning because I love wool! Are the new Rosarios4 (PrintTec ) is very soft and full of color.
