trabalho para férias - work from vacation

Sempre que vou de férias levo comigo alguns materiais para fazer croché ou tricô, mas por falta de tempo ou de vontade, acabo por nunca fazer nada ou quase nada. Mas este ano, não foi o caso.
Como podem ver pela primeira foto a lã que levei era tão bonita como irresistível! (da Retrosaria)
Acabei por fazer um xaile lindo e bem colorido em contraste com a paisagem branca dos Alpes Franceses.

Whenever I go on holiday I take with me some materials to crochet or knit, but for lack of time I don´t make anything. But this year, was not the case. 
As you can see in the first picture I took with me  a beautiful and irresistible wool! (from Retrosaria)
I sart a beautiful and very colorful shawl in contrast to the white landscape of the French Alps.

Vale de Tena, Pirinéus - Spain

Estou de volta a casa e aos meus trabalhos, mas antes de vos mostrar o que estou a fazer quero apenas partilhar estas fotos convosco.
Desta vez visitamos outra parte dos Pirinéus espanhóis, o Vale de Tena. Tivemos muita sorte porque apesar dos nevões que este ano têm caído naquela zona, tivemos excelentes dias, com frio mas também sol para passear.
O vale tem várias aldeias históricas para visitar, bonitas paisagens naturais, artesanato, duas estâncias de ski e outros pontos de interesse e um excelente local para visitar noutras estações do ano.
Aproveitamos para visitar também o Vale de Ossau do lado francês dos Pirinéus, que estava coberto de neve e com paisagens incríveis!

I'm back home and to my work, but before to show you what I'm knitting I just want to share these photos with you.
This time we visited another part of the Spanish Pyrenees, the Tena Valley. We were very lucky because despite snowfalls this year have fallen in that area, we had great days, with cold, but also with sun for sightseeing.
The valley has several historic villages to visit, beautiful natural landscapes, crafts, two ski resorts and other places of interest and a great place to visit in other seasons.
We took the opportunity to visit the Valley of Ossau the french side of the Pyrenees, which was covered with snow and amazing landscapes!

Adeus Vale D' Aran - Goodbye Val D'Aran

Ontem regressamos do Vale D'Aran, nos Pirinéus Catalães - Espanha.
As férias na neve terminaram da melhor forma.
Um grande nevão começou a cair durante a noite e continuava quando partimos.
Na despedida todo o vale estava coberto de branco!
Já tínhamos visitado outros pontos dos Pirinéus (França) e sempre gostamos muito, mas desta vez ficamos apaixonados por todo este vale e aldeias.
Grande parte do tempo foi passado em Baqueira-Beret a esquiar e apanhar um pouco de sol.
Mas houve tempo para visitarmos algumas as aldeias do vale, Salardú, Unha, Arties, Betren e Vielha onde ficamos. Também provar alguma da excelente gastronomia e ver muito do seu bonito artesanato.
É um vale muito caracterizado pela montanha/neve e pelas suas aldeias e igrejas românicas muito preservadas apesar do turismo.
Espero que apreciem as fotos e que vos consiga despertar interesse pelo Val D 'Aran!!

Yesterday we returned from D'Aran Valley in the Catalan Pyrenees - Spain.
The holidays in the snow ended in the best way.
A big snowfall began overnight and continued when we left.
In farewell all valley was covered in white!
We had already visited other parts of the Pyrenees (in France) and we always like so much, but this time we loved this valley and the villages.
Much of the time was spent skiing in Baqueira-Beret ski and catch some sun.
But we had some time  to visit some of the villages in the valley, Salardú, Unha, Arties, Betren and Vielha where we stayed. Also some time to taste some great food and watch a lot of their beautiful handicrafts.
It is a valley characterized by mountain/snow and its villages and Romanesque churches preserved despite the tourism.
I hope you enjoy the photos and that you can awaken interest in the Val D'Aran!

Val d' Aran - Pirinéus

Esta semana estamos de férias no Vale D' Aran, nos Pirinéus - Espanha.
Não há tempo para os meus pontinhos.
O tempo é pouco para ver tudo o que este magnífico vale tem para descobrirmos.

This week we are in vacations in Val D' Aran in the Pyrenees - Spain.
There is no time for pontinhos meus.
The time is short to see everything that this magnificent valley has to discover.

Vila Nova de Foz Côa - Portugal

Esta semana trago-vos algo diferente que queria partilhar com vocês já há algum tempo: Vila Nova de Foz Côa.
Visitei há algum tempo e fui completamente surpreendida.
É aqui o conjunto dos sítios arqueológicos no Vale do Rio Côa - Património Mundial - UNESCO .
Se lá forem não deixem de visitar o Museu do Côa porque é muito interessante e têm de lá uma vista imperdível.
É aqui que o rio Côa encontra o rio Douro e podemos mesmo ver parte da paisagem de socalcos que tanto marca o Douro.
A linha de caminho de ferro está (infelizmente) desativada e a estação em ruínas.
Aproveitem que as férias estão quase a chegar e visitem este bonito cantinho de Portugal.

This week I bring you something different that I wanted to share with you some time ago: Vila Nova de Foz Coa.
I visited some time ago and I was completely surprised.
Here it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - Prehistoric Rock-Art Sites in the Côa Valley.
And of course visit the Coa´s Museum  because it is very interesting and there are an amazing view.
This is where the  Côa river found the  Douro river and we can even see part of the beautiful  landscape of  Douro.
The railway line is (unfortunately) disabled and the station in ruins.
Enjoy the holidays are almost here and visit this beautiful corner of Portugal.

Monsaraz, Alentejo - Portugal

Finalmente algumas fotos das férias que tinha prometido publicar.
Um dos pontos de paragem foi a vila alentejana de Monsaraz.
Adorei tudo ... as casas, onde o branco contrasta com a pedra, a paisagem, em particular a vista sobre Alqueva, o artesanato onde predomina a olaria,  e que eu gostei especialmente das bonecas pintadas em cores vivas. Mas encontrei também outros produtos da região, como trabalhos em cortiça, alguma tapecaria e cestaria e doces regionais.
O local ideal para passar uns dias de descanso, sem stress, horários, filas ...

Finally vacation photos that I had promised.
One of the stop locals was the village of Monsaraz in Alentejo.
I loved everything ... the houses, which the white contrasts with the stone, the landscape, particularly the view of Alqueva, the craft dominated by pottery, and I especially liked the dolls painted in bright colors. But I found also other regional products such as jobs in cork,  tapestry and basketry and regional jams.The ideal place to spend a few days of rest, stress-free ...
