projeto louco - crazy project

Durante o mês de Setembro meti-me nesta aventura de tricotar com trapilho.
A minha ideia era fazer um tapete bem colorido para a casa de banho.
Depois de algumas carreiras percebi que ia ficar bem maior do que tinha previsto.
Mas teimosa como sou, lá continuei por mais algumas carreiras, até porque esteve a gostar tanto do resultado!
Até que por fim, entendo que as agulhas eram pequenas (80cm) para uma peça tão grande e pesada.
Agora aqui tenho em casa mais um projeto no cesto, à espera de agulhas de 1m ou então desisto mesmo...
A minhas aventuras com trapilho tendem a terminar sempre mais cedo!

In September I start this adventure of knitting with tshirt yarn (recycled cotton).
My idea was to make a very colorful rug for the bathroom.
After knitting some rows I realized that it was going to be much big than i thought.
But because I am stubborn and I continued for a few more rows, and because was so fond of the result!
But finally  I understand that the needles were small (80cm) for a work so big and heavy.
Now I have at home one more project in the basket, waiting for other needles or else give up even ...
My adventures with tshirt yarn always tend to end sooner!
And you, do you like to work with this stuff?

weekend plans

Agora que a chuva chegou  e vai mesmo ficar para o fim de semana, os planos são ficarmos por casa e:
Tricotar roupinhas de bebe para a novas encomendas.
Fazer mais umas voltas nas mantinhas de croché que tenho em progresso.
Ver televisão e visitar os vossos blogs.
E para acompanhar tudo beber um chá quentinho com bolo de maçã.
Não vos parece tudo tão doce?

Now that the rain has arrived and will stay to the weekend the plans are to stay home and:
Knitting baby clothes for new orders.
Make a few more rows in the crochet blanket I have in progress.
Watching tv and visiting your blogs.
And to join to all drink warm tea with apple cake.

Ripple cushion

A almofada para o meu sofá está pronta. O tecido chegou esta semana, então aproveitei para terminar o trabalho.
A parte da frente é feita em croché no modelo zig zague (esquema aqui) e a parte de trás é em tecido de algodão cinza à bolinhas brancas. Inicialmente tinha pensado aplicar um fecho de lado, mas acabei por colocar 4 botões. Gosto de ver botões nas almofada, por isso deixei-os da parte da frente.
Começo a ver alguma cor na minha sala.

The cushion for my sofa is ready. The fabric arrived this week, so I finish the work.
The front is made crochet in ripple (pattern here) and the back is gray cotton fabric with white polka dots. First I thought applying a zipper, but I ended up putting 4 buttons. I like to see buttons on cushions, so I left them on the front.
I start to see some color in my living room.

Cestos em croché - Crochet baskets

Olá!
Não acham estes cestos muito versáteis?
Estes 3 fiz colocar dentro do meu armário da casa de banho.
No fim de semana passado fiz estes cestos para ficar tudo mais organizado.
São feitos com malha de trapilho, muito práticos e fáceis de larvar.
O tapete já tinha iniciado aqui, e ainda não está pronto...

Don´t you think that these baskets are very versatile?
These three I made to my bathroom cabinet.
In the past weekend I made these baskets to get everything organized.
They are made with recycled cotton, very practical and easy to wash.
The rug I  had already begun here, and still not ready ...

Espírito natalício - Christmas spirit

Esta semana colocamos finalmente a decoração de Natal aqui em casa.
Fizemos bolachinhas de manteiga e chocolate em forma de estrela e pinheirinhos.(receita daqui)
A rena fiz para o meu afilhado J. colocar na árvore de Natal. Espero que ele goste.. :o) (esquema aqui)
Agora os dias passam a voar e há que aproveitar bem cada dia.

This week finaly we put Christmas decorations here at home.
We made butter and chocolate cookies in the shape of stars and Christmas trees. (recipe here)
The reindeer I made for my godson J. put on the Christmas tree. I hope he likes... : o) pattern here
From now the days are flying and we should enjoy each day.

Numa semana com tanto frio foi tão bom puder ficar em casa a preparar algumas prendinhas de Natal com esta lã tão macia, fazer pãezinhos de leite condensado (receita aqui), acabar algumas encomendas e claro aproveitar esta paisagem. E sempre que possível, dar uma espreitada à janela para ver a neve cair.

In a week so cold was so good I can stay home to prepare some Christma´s gifts with this soft wool, make condensed milk buns  (recipe here), finish some orders and enjoy the beautiful scenery. And when you could take a peek at the window to see the snow fall.

Croché encaixilhado - Framed crochet

São ideais para decorar o nosso cantinho de costura.
Fiz estes dois para deixar o meu cantinho mais bonito.
As cores  do escritório são branco, preto e vermelho.
O azul será apenas para alguns pequenos detalhes.
A ideia de fazer este trabalho veio daqui e eu claro adorei!!
Achei que era o trabalho ideal para estes quadros da IKEA que tinha comprado.

They are ideal for decorating our little craft corner. 
I made these two for my little corner look better. 
The office colors are white, black and red. 
The blue is just for some small details. 
The idea cames from here and of course I love it!
I thought it was the ideal work for these frames that I bought in IKEA .

Almofada aos quadradinhos - Cushion in little squares

Assim que vi esta almofada feita por Emma Lamb soube que iria tentar fazer uma assim!
Adorei o pormenor em vermelho e pensei fazer uma para o meu sofá!
Até as cores eram perfeitas. No entanto, não tinha o esquema...
Então esta semana resolvi fazer à minha maneira e aqui está o resultado.
penso que não ficou mal mas em algodão ficaria melhor com certeza porque é mais firme e ficaria com certeza com melhor acabamento. Quem sabe não faço outra em algodão mais tarde?!

As soon as I saw this pillow from Emma Lamb knew I will try to make one like that!!
I loved the detail in red and I thought to do one for my couch!
Even the colors are perfect. However I haven´t the pattern...
So this week I decide to do it on my way and here is the result.
I think that was not bad but cotton would be best for sure because it is firmer and would surely with better finishing. Maybe I do another in cotton later?!

Fim de semana - Weekend

Hoje não vou falar de croché, tricô, ponto de cruz... venho só mostrar uma fotos do fim de semana passado (passado em Braga) tiradas em casa da minha mãe!!
