Depois das matrioskas seguem-se as kokeshis.

Adoro fazer estas bonequinhas, tão simples mas todas bem diferentes e cheias de cor.

Em vez das flores bordadas tenho optado por colocar missangas apesar da minha falta de jeito...

E vocês quais é que preferem? As matrioskas ou as kokeshis?

I love making these dolls, so simple but all very different and full of color.Instead of embroidered flowers I have chosen to put beads in spite of my lack of skill ...And which do you prefer?

Despois de saírem na revista Inside Crochet do mês de Julho, as Matrioshkas voltam a aparecer.
Tento variar nas cores para ficarem bem alegres e coloridas com o verão pede.
Algumas para porta chaves outras apenas para decorar um pequeno cantinho da casa ou dos nossos quartos de costura.
Nas últimas duas semanas tenho feito muitos trabalhos mas não tem sobrado muito tempo para actualizar o blog.
Agora que o fim de semana está aí vou parar as agulhar e aproveitar o sol de verão antes que ele se vá embora!

After being out in the July Inside Crochet magazine , the Matrioshka is back.
I use various colors to make them very happy and colorful like the summer.
Some of them are for key chain and others are just to decorate a small corner of the house or our craft rooms.
In the last two weeks I have done many things but has not left much time to update the blog.
Now that the weekend is here I'll stop with the needles and enjoy the summer sun before it goes away again!

Monsaraz, Alentejo - Portugal

Finalmente algumas fotos das férias que tinha prometido publicar.
Um dos pontos de paragem foi a vila alentejana de Monsaraz.
Adorei tudo ... as casas, onde o branco contrasta com a pedra, a paisagem, em particular a vista sobre Alqueva, o artesanato onde predomina a olaria,  e que eu gostei especialmente das bonecas pintadas em cores vivas. Mas encontrei também outros produtos da região, como trabalhos em cortiça, alguma tapecaria e cestaria e doces regionais.
O local ideal para passar uns dias de descanso, sem stress, horários, filas ...

Finally vacation photos that I had promised.
One of the stop locals was the village of Monsaraz in Alentejo.
I loved everything ... the houses, which the white contrasts with the stone, the landscape, particularly the view of Alqueva, the craft dominated by pottery, and I especially liked the dolls painted in bright colors. But I found also other regional products such as jobs in cork,  tapestry and basketry and regional jams.The ideal place to spend a few days of rest, stress-free ...

Novos porta moedas vintage - New vintage coin purses

Parece que as férias me fizeram bem.
Novas ideias para os porta moedas, novos pontos utilizados e combinação de cores.
Não há nada como uns dias fora de casa e do nosso dia a dia para, e no meu caso sem pegar numa agulha, para ficar com vontade de fazer trabalhos sem parar.
Fiz mais 4 porta moedas vintage todos em modelo e cores bem diferentes para agradar a todos s gostos. Estão disponíveis aqui.

It seems that the holidays were really good for me.
New ideas for the coin purses, new stitches used and combination of colors.
There's nothing like a few days away from home and our routine, and in my case without picking up a needle, to be willing to do work without stopping.
I made 4 more vintage coin purse, all in very different patterns and colors to suit everyone's tastes. All avaiable here.
And about the holidays, I will share with you some photos here on the blog.

trabalhos em progresso - work in progress

Esta semana quase nem tive tempo para ver as novidades nos blogs que tanto gosto e me inspiram.
Tive muitos trabalhos para fazer por isso hoje apenas vos trago algumas imagens dos materiais novos que comprei em Braga na há duas semanas e também um pouquinho dos trabalhos que tenho estado a fazer.
Também recebi a revista Inside Crochet onde está publicada e minha bonequita Matrioska, eu adorei claro!
E claro, como hoje é sexta feira, o bolinho não podia faltar. A receita é daqui, mas fiz algumas adapatações.

This week I had almost no time to watch the news in your blogs that I like and that inspire me.
I had many works to do so today I only bring you some pictures of the new fabrics and materials that I bought in Braga two weeks ago and also a bit of work I have been doing.
I also received the Inside Crochet magazine that publish  my little doll Matrioska,and  I loved it! 
Of course since today is Friday the cake could not miss. The recipe is here, but I made some adjustments.

Pensei fazer alguns para meninos, mas o croché é tão feminino que é mesmo muito difícil.

I thought to do some kits for boys, but the crochet is so feminine  that it's really difficult.

Alguns meses atrás fiquei muito surpreendida quando me contactaram da revista inglesa Inside Crochet para uma possível colaboração.
Inicialmente pensei mesmo que era uma brincadeira e confesso que quando li o email nem acreditei que fosse verdadeiro!
Mas afinal era mesmo, e depois de alguma troca de emails aqui está o resultado.
Ontem quando vi a capa da revista fiquei mesmo contente, lá estava a minha matrioska!!
Não sei se ainda se lembram dela aqui e aqui já nas cores que enviei para a revista.
Para quem estiver interessado a revista é a número 19 e pode ser comprada aqui ou aqui.
Quanto ao meu exemplar da revista não vejo a hora de o ter nas mãos...estou ansiosa!

Some months ago I was very surprised with the contact from the Inside Crochet magazine for a possible collaboration.
Initially I thought it was a joke and I confess that when I read the email I could not believe it was true!
But it was true, and after some email exchange here is the result.
Yesterday when I saw the magazine cover I was really happy, there was my matrioska!
I don´t know if you still remember her here and here in colors that I sent to the magazine.

As for my copy of the magazine, I can not wait to have it in my hands ... I'm so excited !
